Our contribution to a greener future. For people and nature.
Responsibility at Stensdal is not an add-on to our business – it is part of our foundation. We develop, improve, and manage properties with care and consideration. This means that we take an active approach to our climate footprint, resource consumption, impact on nature, and the people who use our properties every day.
We believe that good properties should offer more than just square meters. They should create value for businesses, residents, and local communities. That is why we work with a structured ESG approach, where environmental, social, and governance issues are integrated into our decisions, from investment and project development to operations and collaboration in the value chain. Ultimately, responsibility is about creating an environment where people thrive – at work, in their everyday lives and in their collaboration around our properties.

Our ESG strategy
Our focus areas
ReducedCO2 emissions
With a portfolio of commercial properties and residential buildings in operation, we work systematically to reduce energy consumption andCO2 emissions.
This is achieved through energy-efficient operations, improved energy labels and certification, and by integrating climate considerations early on in project development.
The majority of our emissions fall under Scope 3, and reductions therefore require long-term collaboration with tenants and partners, as well as ongoing strengthening of our data basis.
Energy-efficient buildings and a healthy indoor climate are part of creating spaces where people thrive.
Space for bees and flowers
Property development and operation affect nature and ecosystems. That is why we are actively working to strengthen biodiversity in and around our properties.
The initiative has two tracks. First, we are reducing our environmental footprint through an increased focus on responsible use of materials and more circular principles in our value chain. Second, we are redesigning outdoor areas to create better habitats and natural stepping stones for insects and plant species.
Green and vibrant outdoor spaces are part of creating an environment where both nature and people can thrive.
Respect and well-being
Good people should thrive here. That is what determines our success.
We work with responsible corporate governance, a healthy working environment, and a culture characterized by respect, teamwork, and integrity. A safe and healthy working environment is a prerequisite for well-being and quality. This applies both within our own organization and in our collaboration with partners and suppliers.
Our policies and guidelines set the framework for responsible supplier management, transparent processes, and secure partnerships throughout the value chain, which should support social responsibility for both employees and external relations.
We invest in partnerships that drive action
Stensdal cannot solve the climate and societal challenges we face on its own. That is why we enter into partnerships where shared ambitions are translated into concrete action. Both in our own value chain and in the local communities we are part of.
This applies to cooperation in our value chain, where we are increasingly working to strengthen responsible practices, transparency, and documentation—for example, in connection with construction, renovation, and operation.
This also applies to collaborations with municipalities, social actors, and charitable organizations, where we contribute to initiatives and causes that extend beyond individual properties and create value locally and nationally.
