Residential building on Dybendalsvænget achieves DGNB pre-certification in silver
Stensdal Group's ongoing headquarters construction at Dybendalsvænget 3 in Taastrup is taking shape. As one of the country's largest mobile cranes lifts the large concrete elements into place, the building has reached an important milestone: a silver DGNB pre-certification.
With the pre-certification, it seems that the upcoming headquarters building is on schedule and will achieve the final DGNB certification upon completion. Midtjysk Albyg and Stensdal Group are very pleased with this, as it supports the strategic work with ESG and sustainability in our real estate portfolio. The almost 10,600 m² building is being constructed by Midtjysk Albyg A/S, which sees the pre-certification as an expression that the project is being developed with care and responsibility.
"The fact that the building at Dybendalsvænget is now pre-certified is a pretty big milestone in relation to the final certification. Before pre-certification, we have, in collaboration with the client and auditor, considered all relevant criteria in the matrix that forms the basis for certification. Everything we have currently decided about materials, indoor climate, processes, climate footprint, lifespan, etc. has been documented and what we are not yet completely sure about is described as a declaration of intent in relation to process and material requirements. The overall documentation has been reviewed by the Danish Council for Sustainable Building and approved for DGNB Silver, so unless something comes up that we couldn't foresee and we stick to the plan, we're pretty confident that the final certification will go relatively smoothly."
DGNB as an ESG benchmark
The DGNB certification is a seal of approval in itself - but also an important strategic tool that ensures that we actively contribute to our ESG efforts. The DGNB system measures sustainability based on a holistic approach where environmental, social, technical and economic qualities are weighted - just like the ESG approach. With a silver DGNB pre-certification, we show that we not only focus on energy efficiency and carbon footprint, but also on elements such as indoor climate, circular economy, social value and responsible process management. The DGNB certification is issued by the Danish Council for Sustainable Building, which ensures an independent and transparent assessment of the sustainability of the building.
The building is expected to be ready for the new tenant, MTAB Danmark A/S, in early 2026.
