Great Place to Work certification: Employee well-being is part of everyday life

Stensdal Group is one of the companies that actively works to create a good workplace for its employees on a daily basis. They now have certification for this, but the certification is not the goal in itself. So say CEO Søren Stensdal and CFO Martin Sørensen in an interview with EjendomDanmark. Like many companies, Stensdal Group has a special focus on the S in addition to the E and G when working with ESG. Part of the company's work has been to focus on creating a workplace where employees not only thrive, but where they actively work with culture and development. As part of this, Stensdal Group has chosen to work with the Great Place to Work certification. And it has opened up unique insights.

"Creating a good working environment has always been a focus for us. In this way, the certification serves as a framework tool," says Søren Stensdal, CEO of Stensdal Group.

Certification is not the goal

Although Stensdal Group now has a certification that shows they are actively working to become a better workplace, this is not new work for them.

"Creating a good working environment has always been a focus for us. In this way, the certification serves more as a framework tool than anything else," says Søren Stensdal, CEO of Stensdal Group.

According to Søren Stensdal, having a certification is therefore not an end in itself, but rather a valuable tool for creating the insights required to work in depth with employee well-being.

"We didn't go into the Great Place to Work process to get a certification, because that's secondary for us. The most important thing has been to gain some insights and tools that we have been able to use in our future work. And of course, it's a benchmark that we can use in the future to see that we're actually improving," he says.
